The Serious Sportsmens prizes for October were the Glock 9mm and Ruger PC Carbine in 9mm combo.  The winner was Dean Dahl.

 25 Camps and over 50 people participated in this year's rendezvous from Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa.  There were 10 new camps and a great response from especially the new camps who could not believe the great clubhouse, camp areas, shooting facilities and club grounds.  All indicated they will be back next year and bring some friends with them.  Participation in the rendezvous events was outstanding with lots of fun and good competitons.  Campers especially enjoyed the archery golf, woods walk, candle shoot, bow and rifle events.

Special thanks to the "Rendezvous Commitee" of Roger Anderson, Martin Ferrari, Tom Garvis, Myron Cronen, Jim Swanson and Keith Matheson for all their work.

 The Serious Sportsmen's prize for September was the Ruger Night Watchman 1911 pistol in .45ACP.  The winner was Zachory King.

 The prize for the monthly raffle for September wasa Taurus G3 9mm Auto.   The winner was Austin Brown.

The annual Coon Creek Rendezvous will be held Oct. 13-16.  The schedule of events is being finalized with some new events and displays being planned.  Work is continuing preparing and improving the primitive camp areas, prepping firewood to fill the wood sheds, and clearing the woods walk trail and target areas. An Archery Golf 9 hole course has been designed and will be set up.

Weather permitting the rendezvous committee and volunteers will be working on Friday Sept. 16 and Saturday AM Sept. 17 on splitting firewood.  Come on down and lend a hand if you can.

 The annual Fall Muzzleloader Weekend is coming up starting with Open Trap Shooting on Thur. at 6 PM, Open shooting all day Friday, and the Open Muzzleloader Rifle Shoot on Saturday starting a 1 PM.  All Muzzleloading Shooters are invited to come on down, shoot your muzzleloaders and consult with some knowledable and experienced muzzleloader people.

The Coon Creek Rendezvous committee will also be working on Friday and Saturday morning preparing the primitive camp areas and splitting firewood to fill

the woodsheds.  Come on down and lend a hand if you can.

 The prize for the monthly meeting raffle was an Escort 12GA.  The winner Stephen "Cowboy" Pauloski.

 The prize for the Serious Sportsmens raffle for August was the Vortex rangefinder AND Vortex Kaibab 18x56  binoculars and Vortex Venon 5x25x56 Rifle scope.  The winner was Bob Ritger.
