23 New Hunters Certified at Hunter Safety Field Day April 25th

23 students successfully completed their CVCC sponsored WI DNR On-Line Hunter Safety Education Field Day on Saturday, April 25th. Students completed hands-on demonstrations of safe firearms handling, practice hunts, blood trailing, ammunition identification, tree stand safety, and life firing of .22 rifles and 20 ga. shotguns. After a presentation by Conservation Warden Shawna Stringham students completed written and practical certification tests with an over-all class average of 98%. Six students had perfect 100% scores.

Thanks to the CVCC for sponsoring this class and making our outstanding facilities available. Volunteer instructors for the class were Corky Roethel, Dean Daniels, Pete Klitzke, Tyler Deaver, Lillian Primmer, Dick Wallin, Kevin Sloan, Gary Butterfield, Steve Nestinghen, and Royce Curtis. Our next On-Line class is planned to begin in August with Field Day on Saturday, September 26, 2015.
