On-Line Hunter Safety Field Day Certifies 21 New Hunters

The CVCC sponsored On-Line Hunter Safety Class met on Saturday, April 30 at the clubgrounds for the final Field Day of demonstrations, practice, and testing.  Students participated in firearm handling, tree stand safety, crossing obstacles, blood trailing, discussions of hunter responsibility and ethics, live firing of .22's and 20 guage shotguns, a Q & A session with area game wardens, and a final written and a practical test. 
 All 21 students passed the tests with a class average of 97%.  Students attended the Field Day from as far away as Plattville and Cedarburg, WI as well as Northfield, ILL.  Also in attendance and helping out was our new Regional Safety Warden, Jon King.  
Instructors for the course were Roger Anderson (Recognized for completing his 30th year a Hunter Safety Instructor!), Charlie Nelson, Steve Pauloski, Corky Roethel, Lillian Primmer, Don Primmer, Dick Wallin, and Royce Curtis.
